What is the Community Health Choices Program?

Did you know there is a government program in Pennsylvania that qualifies residents to get paid to take care of a relative, friend, or loved one? It's called Community Health Choices. We are contracted with all the Managed Care Organizations, which means we can qualify you to get paid to care for your loved one. AccuCare is a leader in this family caregiver program, and we were one of the first agencies to offer a consumer-directed model.

                            How do I join AccuCare?

How do I join AccuCare?

The process of qualifying for the Community Health Choices is easy, but there are a number of critical steps that should be taken. Working with AccuCare can help ensure that your approval process goes as smoothly and quickly as possible.

After contacting a qualified Service Coordination Agency, the client will begin the process of seeking government approval. Following approval, your loved one hires a caregiver of his or her choosing. It can be a friend, family member, or relative but it cannot be a spouse or power of attorney.

AccuCare will hire you, the friend or relative, to get paid as the full-time caregiver. We treat you like family!
